Owen Hargreaves has no intention of rushing back and aggravating his knee injury.

The former Bayern Munich midfielder missed United's 2-2 draw with Urawa Red Diamonds on Tuesday and has already been ruled out of Friday's clash with FC Seoul. Hargreaves is hoping to feature later in the tour of Asia but realises the priority is to be fit for action at the start of the Premier League season. United begin the defence of their title against Reading on 12th August and Hargreaves is not prepared to take any risks. "The plan is certainly to be fit for the first game," he said. "But then again, the plan was to be fit for all the games on tour. "I have missed one and I will probably miss tomorrow but hopefully I will be fit for the last two. "My knee just flared up a little bit after the first intense training session. At the moment I am just trying to be careful with it."
