WAYNE ROONEY'S desire to finish his career at Old Trafford could make him Britain's first £50m footballer.

Rooney is only two years into the six-season deal he signed when he completed his £27m switch from Everton.

But he has already said he would be happy to copy such stars as Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes and spend the rest of his playing days with United
