Four years have passed since The Red Devils lifted the trophy, but their ninth Premiership crown was confirmed this weekend as United won while Chelsea only drew. Ferguson knew United had to get off to a fast start this season if they were to mount a title challenge, and they responded by losing just once in the first four months of the campaign. "I think they're all good, maybe the fact over the last two years Chelsea have dominated the Premier League (makes this one special)," Ferguson told Sky Sports 1. "Yes, we had a big job to catch up with them and I think the key to it was having a good start to the season and trying to stay with them." Success in Europe used to be Ferguson's main aim going into a new season, but his priorities have switched back to the domestic game in recent years. "The Premiership is such a competitive league with the pressure on big clubs to do well, and that means it is a priority for us," the Scot said. "Some years ago I had an obsession with winning in Europe but I think that's been overtaken by winning the Premier League. To win it is a big achievement." Ferguson opted to skip watching the all-important Arsenal versus Chelsea game, although he did catch the final 15 minutes and confessed watching was "agony". Instead the 65-year-old was out celebrating another achievement in the Ferguson household, as his grandson also won the league on Sunday.
