LEE Martin insists he had no intention of arguing when Sir Alex Ferguson told him he should join Rangers on loan.
But the teenager insists it was not fear of upsetting his Manchester United boss which made him commit himself to the Ibrox club until December - it was simply a case of following good advice.
The 19-year-old caught the eye of Paul Le Guen during a pre-season friendly win over Celtic last month and the Gers boss immediately made contact with the Old Trafford club to see if a deal could be struck.
